a. Duration: this is
a twelve months long course

Friday [weekly holiday] of the week from 9 am to 5 pm |

Medicine,

Emergency Medicine &
Techniques,

Men's and Women's health,

Continuing Management
Problems.

Paper
- II: |
|
|
Common
Presenting Problems in Family Medicine Practice. |
|
-
Family
Medicine Practice attachment: The students are
attached to any Family Medicine Practice [selected or
approved by the institute of his locality].
-
Logbook:
The students prepare a logbook of 25 common cases..
-
Hospital
attachment: The students are attached to the
Hospital of the University for a certain period. This
is a residential program.
-
Evaluation : At the end of the course a final
evaluation examination evaluates the student's depth
and breadth of knowledge.

Certificate: The University of Science &
Technology Chittagong issues certificate to those who
are qualified in the examination.
-
Recognition: University Grant Commission of the
Government of Bangladesh has approved the FMD course &
curriculum.

Pre-Requisites for entering the
course of FMD |
|
|
|
|
-
The
candidate must have obtained the degree of M.B.B.S or
its equivalent and must be recognized by the
Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC)
-
Registered
with BMDC
-
At least two
years experience in Family Medicine Practice. The
Bangladesh Academy of Family Physicians shall certify
on the experience in Family Medicine Practice.

Paid course
fee (Amount to be fixed by the Institute)

Submitted
duly filled in Application Form
-
The
Institute shall have the final authority to accept or
reject any candidate into the FMD course.
